Aware of the importance of its direct and positive participation in the local economy, the company creates and participates in projects of social development and, simultaneously, stimulates its workers to act as volunteers.
Social Projects
Pescar Project
Braslumber got a franchise of Fundação Projeto Pescar and maintain a unit in its headquarter. Braslumber’s Projeto Pescar foundation aims at the formation of young people aged between 16 and 19 years old, in the course of Wood Technology Initiation, preparing them for the job market. Moreover, it offers an essential background for their citizenship, ethics, respect, education, responsibility, commitment and, also, basics for administration services.
Molduração Program
It is a program formed by Braslumber’s workers who participate and carry out social campaigns, such as collecting food, clothes and toys besides, promoting events in special occasions in beneficent institutions in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná.
Brick Dancing Project
In partnership with the municipality, Braslumber maintains a dance group formed with students that attend the social counter shift, offering all the infra structure required for the group. The social counter shift is a place where the students study in other shift than the school time.
Social Counter Shift Support
Braslumber contributes with a monthly support to the social counter shift, the place where students study in the opposite shift to the school time, which uses the resource for the needs of the institution, such as buying books, sports gear, and repair, among others.
Back to School Program
Thinking of its worker’s welfare and personal accomplishments, Braslumber maintain a program to motivate them to finish their studies, supporting part of their costs through scholarship, transportation, and scholar reimbursement, among others.
